She made herself available over the holidays and made sure our two dogs were not only well cared for, but they also liked her very much. She kept them well exercised (walking & playing); and well groomed over the 9 days we were gone.
Additionally, she was an exceptional house sitter. We came back to clean sheets and towels, and overall the apartment was spotless. We would have never known someone had been living there while we were away.

(Mix of energy & love) This is a letter of reference for Susan Bates, whom I have the pleasure of knowing since July 2011. Susan walks and also cares for Chilly overnight when I am away. Chilly is a toyfox and pugle mix so needless to say she is full of energy. When I first met Susan she reassured me that Chilly is in good hands and there’s nothing to worry about. But having been reassured by previous dogsitters and walkers I was hesitant. But Susan has managed to exceed all my expectations, and I had a lot.
Susan is really dependable. I started out with a few overnight dogsitting visits during the summer and has never had any problems. Susan is also very neat and respectable of personal space, she keeps my apt exactly how she found it and at times even better and cleaner. This past November I was away on vacation for 10 days, which was the longest I have left Chilly with someone else and everything was handled perfectly.
Susan is also very flexible. She walks Chilly 3 to 4 times a week, so sometimes when I need to switch days she is always accommodating. And never gives me any issues with changes.
But what really sets Susan a part from other dogsitters and dogwalkers that I have had over the years is that she genuinely enjoys spending time with Chilly. It is not only a job but rather a relationship that she developed over time with Chilly, and believe me Chilly has a lot of weird quirks. But Susan has managed to understand how she is and has won her over.
I am truly thankful for the help that Susan provides which is a peace of mind; that Chilly is well taken care and is in good hands, which she surely is. ★★★★★
